FREE Evolve E-Cargo bikes are back on the North Shore!

We've teamed up with the District of North Vancouver and City of North Vancouver to bring free e-cargo bikes rentals to the North Shore! Now through the end of October, you can book an Evolve E-Cargo Bike up to 30 days in advance at select North Shore public libraries and multi-unit residential buildings. Simply pick up and drop off at the same location—hop on and ride today!

How it works

Visit a participating library and grab an e-cargo bike!

	Download the Evo app and sign up or log in Pro tip: select ‘e-bikes/e-scooters’ if you don’t need car share to skip driver’s license requirement
	Book an e-cargo bike by clicking the ‘Evo Return’ tab in-app up to 30 days in advance
	Show your booking confirmation at the library counter to grab the bike, keys and grocery bags (if needed) at your reserved time and spot
	Check safety info on-site or online, wear a helmet and start rolling
	Go anywhere on the North Shore, then end your trip back at the same location you started

*Only same-day rentals are available during the pilot. Late returns and no-shows may result in fines.

• North Vancouver City Library
• North Vancouver District Public Library – Lynn Valley branch
 

Ride safe and smart

Meet the two styles of Evolve E-Cargo Bikes. Whether you’re hauling groceries or passengers, check all the safety tips below and on HUB Cycling’s website before rolling.

• Up to 2 passengers (minimum 4+ years old) per e-cargo bike, with a max. weight of 176 lbs (80kg)
• Don’t carry goods and passengers at the same time
• Passengers must buckle up (cargo box) or hold onto the side rails (long tail) when riding. Never hold onto the seat post.
• Always use your head and wear a helmet – it's the law!
• Use hand signals and shoulder check when making turns
